Wanted throughout Exeter and Devon
A social enterprise based in Exeter is looking for practical-hands-on-help and support to help co-manage a non-profit social enterprise and help raise funds to establish and build an alternative technology education centre for the South West of England, (The first of it’s kind in the UK).
A1 Positive Recycling Project and Carpet Magic are both part of a not-for-profit social enterprise, who aim to build a positive management team in Exeter, Devon to help lead the future development of the social enterprise to simply cut global warming and create Eco-Technology products and services.
Neil is the CEO and Founder of A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd which he started out in the white and brown goods industry and then an IT technician upgrading and repairing computers and also providing Eco-friendly cleaning services throughout Exeter and Devon since 1986.
A1 P.R.P Ltd & Carpet Magic aim to specialize in local on-site data wiping, computer & mobile phone recycling and refurbishment under the 2007 WEEE Directive which currently does not work properly here in the UK under the EU WEEE producer responsibility 2004.
The Project aims to reduce the local carbon footprint in Devon through it’s current and growing client base throughout Exeter and Devon, did you know that under the producer responsibility 1991 Waste legislation currently does not work properly in the UK and the UK dumps more waste to third world countries than any other country in the EU.
In May 2005 Neil received an Un Ltd level 1 Millennium award and a Co-op Community Dividend grant that helped to setup the social enterprise with Cooperatives UK and he was recognised as a community champion for the most innovative project idea of the year in 2005.
Neil said the planned alternative technology education centre would be aimed at training, educating and empowering adults and people with minor learning difficulties under NEETS, it would inspire new innovation and solutions, inventions in the South West of England.
He said he was looking for positive dynamic and committed individuals who would like the opportunity to be part of a local steering group, Neil said they’re looking for people with practical-hands-on-skills and expertise to help support the community project and to help manage, run pilot project’s throughout Exeter and Devon, even become part of a management team after completing a three month work with A1 Positive Recycling Project Ltd / Carpet Magic based in Exeter, Devon. “Help Save The Environment to Save The World”
